Program Coaching Schedule
The program will comprise 6 full day coaching sessions held fortnightly over 12 weeks
The coaching sessions will be from 9:00am until 4:00pm on each scheduled day
Yachting SA will aim to provide a group-training environment each coaching day
The main training venue will be at Adelaide Sailing Club
The program coach will be supported by an assistant coach at each training day.
The program fee of $350 will pay for the squad coach

Program Equipment
Yachting SA will provide each squad member with a BIC Techno (or Neil Pryde RSX)
windsurfer for the period of the program.
Squad members will be responsible for the care and maintenance of their boards and sails.
Participants will receive a Yachting Australia Windsurfing Scheme Logbook
Yachting SA will provide an opportunity for participants to be assessed and signed of in their log book for competencies achieved under the Yachting Australia Windsurfing Scheme

Program and Coaching Session Goals
Squad members will be coached to develop their knowledge and skills in the following areas:
Rigging & tuning techniques and principles for windsurfing
Boom heights and its effect on the sail dynamics
Batten tensions effects of changes
Down haul and its effects on the sail
Mast track position and effect on performance
Transitions between track forward to track back modes, Foot strap positions
Harness Line positions
Turning
Transitions
Beating, Reaching upwind and downwind
Planing gybes
Gaining best VMG
Pumping techniques
Starting techniques
Mark rounding techniques
Regatta venue orientation and identifying local hazards
Sailing on a race course and lay lines
Self rescue techniques
