- The Hartley TS16 is a 5m half cabin trailer sailor, which can be home made of wood or professionally built using fibeglass. Building plans can be purchased from the Assocation.
- The boat has a mainsail and jib and can carry a 4hp to 9hp outboard for cruising. The TS16 has a minmum weight of 360kg and is easily towed by a medium size car.
- The TS16 can be easily handled by its usual crew of two but has room to accommodate up to four persons when cruising. The Associaton organises regular cruising trips, training days and other social functions.

- The Association has a list of second hand boats in good condition, priced afrom $3,000 to $7,000.
