Vicki Hughes, Wednesday, 9 May 2012 Sailing will be part of the Australian University Games in Adelaide from 23-28 September. A Teams Racing event will be hosted by the Port River SC from Monday 24 to Thursday 27th September.

Adelaide will play host to over 6,000 tertiary students from universities across Australia, when the Australian University Games (AUG) come to Adelaide in September. Thirty sports will be contested over five days.
The Games are renowed for providing a friendly but competitive environment for Australia's tertiary students, with over thirty individual and team sports on offer. Coordinated by Australian University Sport (AUS), the peak governing body of university sport in Australia, the Games attracts between 5,000 and 7,000 athletes each year. The event is complimented by a comprehensive social program which allows students to socialise in a controlled and safe environment. With the perfect mix of sport and social, the AUG provides a unique and unforgettable experience for Australian tertiary students.
Sailing will be part of these Games. A Teams Racing event will be hosted by Port River Sailing Club - with weighin and training on Monday 24 and racing from Tuesday 25th to Thursday 27th September.
