2012 Australian Schools Teams Racing Championship
Albert Sailing Club, Vic ~ 12 - 15 July 2012
Three South Australian schools will represent their State in this years Australian Schools Team Racing Championships to be held at Albert Sailing Club on Albert Park Lake, Melbourne.
St Michaels College
St Josephs School
Immanel College
These schools qualified to represent SA at the State Championships held in Kangaroo Island in Arpil.
Last year South Australia placed first and second in these championships with St Michael’s narrowly edging out St Joe’s in the finals. St Joe’s and St Michael’s then went on to represent Australia in the Interdominions which St Joe’s emphatically won.
All three teams have been working together to ensure the level of team racing in the state continues to rise.
Sunday 1st of July will see the final of the Team’s training concluding in a massive day of regatta style racing down at the Port River including all three teams plus an all star team of ex team racers.
Anyone who is interested in coming for a look is most welcome to come see some of the best team racers our state has to offer.
Each team has high hopes heading into the Nationals after last year’s results and hopefully all going to plan there can be back to back titles for SA and teams representing the country once again in New Zealand.
The top 3 teams from the Australian Championships will be invited to represent Australia in the Interdominions against New Zealand in October.
