Congratulation to David Tillett

BIASA  ~   Boatman of the Year 2012

 

David Tillett was awarded the BIASA " Boatman of the Year " at the Boating Industry Association of SA annual breakfast this morning at the 2012 Adelaide Boast Show.

This comes on top of David also being awarded the "Order of Merit" by the SA Olympic Council earlier this year.

David's citation:

·         Member of Yachting SA Race Officials Committee & consultant to Yachting Australia Racing Rules Committee
·         ISAF (International Sailing Federation) –
o   Council Member since 1998
o   Chairman of Racing Rules Committee since 2000
o   Member of ISAF Review Board
·         Olympics –
o  Chairman of the Olympic Jury – Athens 2004, Beijing 2008 & London 2012
·         Also Member of the Olympic Jury for 5 Olympic from Atlanta 1996
·         Americas Cup –
o  Chairman of the Jury and Arbitration Panel, Jury member, Umpire - 1992 to 2012    
o   Adviser to New York Supreme Court for last Americas Cup
